Nora Scheidig was born in Dresden in 1992 and began studying the violin at 5 years old. She entered the Dresden Landesgymnasium for Music in 2004 and made her solo debut with Landesbühnen Sachsen Orchestra at the age of 9. Scheidig was the regional prize winner in the Jugend Musiziert Competition in the solo violin and the Duo Violin/Piano categories.

She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree from the Carl-Maria-von-Weber Music Conservatory in Dresden in the Summer of 2015, where she studied with Prof. Malinovsky. Since April she is currently a master´s student of professor Matthias Wollong at the music conservatory "Franz-Liszt" in Weimar.

Scheidig also collaborated with internationally renowned artists such as Friedemann Eichhorn, Nora Chasten, Yair Kless, Ingolf Turban, and Ivan Zenaty. As a chamber musician, she received instruction from artists such as Natalia Prishepenko, Mira Wang, Jan Vogler, Lise Berthaud, and Lise de la Salle.

For various performances, Scheidig participated in the Moritzburg Festival and the Chopin Festival in Spain, and with her trio, she is a scholarship recipient from the Talentschmiede Dresden e. V. 

She gained orchestra experience in the Deutschen Streicherphilarmonie under the direction of Michael Sanderling as a substitute for the Dresdner Philharmonie, and in the German-Russian Academy under the direction of Valery Gergiey. Nora Scheidig is a member of the Giuseppe-Sinopoli-Academy of the Dresdner Staatskapelle under the baton of Christian Thielemann, and receives solo instruction from Concertmaster Jörg Fassmann.
